Understand mix ratios, pot life, and why the specified catalyst is part of the coating system.
Two-component coatings cure through a controlled chemical reaction. The right catalyst and ratio are essential to hardness, resistance, adhesion, and appearance.
Follow the technical data sheet
Mix ratios vary by product and may be stated by weight or by volume. Never assume the ratio from another Renner product applies. Use the current technical data sheet for the exact coating code.
Respect pot life
Once catalyzed, the mixture has a limited working window—even if it still looks sprayable. Mark the mix time, prepare only what the job needs, and do not return activated material to the original container.
Control the process
Accurate scales or marked mixing vessels, clean containers, and consistent induction and reduction practices make the finish repeatable from batch to batch.
