INSL-X Specialty Coatings
The problem-solver brand — STIX bonding primer, Cabinet Coat, pool paint, and stain blockers.
INSL-X is the Benjamin Moore family brand for the jobs that don't fit a normal can of paint: slick laminate, tile, glossy trim, swimming pools, garage floors, and heavy stains.
STIX is the bonding primer we hand out more than any other product in the store — it sticks to laminate, PVC, tile, glossy oil trim, and cabinetry. Cabinet Coat is the waterborne cabinet and trim enamel that goes over it.
The line also covers pool paints, deck and patio coatings, shellac-based stain blockers, and mildew-resistant bath products.
Specialty pricing on small quantities — you buy INSL-X for what it sticks to, not for square feet per gallon.

Questions
INSL-X Specialty Coatings — common questions
What people actually ask us at the counter.
What primer sticks to laminate cabinets?
STIX. Degrease and scuff-sand first, then prime with STIX and topcoat with Cabinet Coat or ADVANCE.
Do you sell pool paint?
Yes. Tell us whether the pool was previously painted with epoxy, chlorinated rubber, or acrylic — that determines what can go on next.
What blocks smoke or pet stains?
A shellac-based stain blocker is the surest answer for odor and heavy staining. Bring photos and we'll match the primer to the problem.
Is INSL-X part of Benjamin Moore?
Yes — INSL-X is a Benjamin Moore company brand and we carry it at the Delray Beach store.
