About Ariel
Need help finding what you need? Ask Ariel.
Sometimes you walk into a hardware store knowing exactly what you're looking for. And sometimes you walk in knowing only what you're trying to fix, build, maintain, or create.
Ariel Thomas is happy to help with both.
With previous experience in hardware and retail — and additional hands-on knowledge gained through home and college projects — Ariel helps Hessler customers find products, navigate the Ace floor, complete special orders, and get everyday home and creative projects moving in the right direction.
Whether you're looking for a specific item or simply trying to figure out where to start, tell Ariel what you're working on and she'll help you find your next step.
Background
Hardware & retail experience
Ariel brings previous hardware and retail experience to her role, along with practical knowledge she's gained through projects at home and in college.
Her role takes her from the register to the Ace floor. She helps customers check out, find the products they're looking for, navigate different departments, and figure out where to go when they're not quite sure what they need.
Because her role covers a variety of areas around the store, customers can ask Ariel about everything from hardware and tools to gardening products, home goods, and special orders. Sometimes the most helpful thing is simply having someone point you in the right direction — that's an important part of what Ariel does.
Helping you find the next step
You don't have to know the exact product name
Hardware projects don't always start with a shopping list. Sometimes they start with:
- "I'm trying to fix this…"
- "I need something that will do this…"
- "I'm working on a project and I'm not sure what I need."
That's okay. Ariel enjoys helping customers find the products they need and work through the everyday questions that come with home projects. Tell her what you're trying to accomplish and she'll help you start narrowing things down.

Creative projects & everyday home maintenance
Ariel especially enjoys helping customers complete their own personal and creative projects. There's something rewarding about helping someone find that missing item that allows a project to finally come together.
She also enjoys helping with the everyday home-maintenance needs that inevitably pop up — because sometimes a small repair or the right product can make a big difference.
Whether the project is practical, creative, or a little of both, Ariel is happy to help get you moving.
A team that's ready to help
One of Ariel's favorite things about Hessler is the team. She appreciates working alongside coworkers who are knowledgeable and always willing to help one another.
That teamwork matters for customers, too. If Ariel knows where to find what you need, she'll help you get there. And if your question needs someone with deeper experience in a particular department or specialty, she's surrounded by teammates who are ready to jump in.
That's one of the advantages of shopping with a team that works together.
"If you ever need help with hardware or home goods, come see me. I'd be happy to help!"

Swimming and photography
When she's not helping customers at Hessler, Ariel enjoys swimming and photography.
Her interest in photography gives her a creative side that fits nicely with one of her favorite parts of the job — helping customers bring their own personal projects and ideas to life.
