Prep that decides the outcome
- Pressure wash and let the substrate dry fully — trapped moisture is the #1 cause of blistering.
- Treat mildew with a bleach solution and rinse.
- Patch and caulk cracks, then prime bare stucco with a masonry primer.
- Watch the afternoon storm window; two thin coats beat one heavy coat.
